Head of Product

Report directly to the a high profile Divisional CEO, with a clear mandate to bring pricing and portfolio discipline to a rapidly scaling loan book.

 

Role Overview

The business is in a period of accelerated growth, looking to appoint a new leader to oversee the Product, Pricing and Portfolio strategy across one of it’s highest performing divisions to support continued scale.

 

As a non-bank lender competing against shifting funding costs, RBA rate movements and regulatory change, this is a role for a high energy specialist who wants to manage credit performance whilst supporting a highly capable distribution team and network.

 

Responsibilities

• Own product management end-to-end - origination volume, NIM, ROIC, AUM, pricing and discount policy, budget and profitability reporting, and regulatory monitoring
• Lead new product development, including roadmap ownership, business case, market opportunity identification and technology/data partner relationships
• Translate broker, aggregator and customer insight into pricing and policy recommendations, developing relationships with Sales and Distribution
• Ensure products and collateral remain compliant, up to date and integrate well with partners
• Coach and build the capability of a strong operational and technical team

 

Candidate Profile

You will be a senior product and portfolio leader with genuine P&L ownership experience, backed by the EQ and influence to lead a function where influence and trust-building are critical.

 

You will bring:

• Senior portfolio strategy experience with real P&L ownership rather than operating as a silo
• Lending product management experience within banking or non-bank lending, with home lending essential and strong exposure to Product Development, Portfolio and Pricing
• Working fluency with credit risk and portfolio metrics, including origination volume, NIM, ROIC, AUM and Loan Loss Provisioning
• A genuine understanding of funding cost and how it flows into pricing, along with strong broker and distribution partner exposure
• Influence-led leadership; comfortable holding a disciplined, evidence-led position with senior stakeholders
