Description

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the quarry site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Follow all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures, promoting a strong safety culture.
• Wear and use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Carry out pre-start checks and daily inspections on mobile plant and equipment.
• Complete inspection records accurately and report any defects or issues to site management promptly.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance activities, working closely with the maintenance team when required.
• Operate quarry mobile plant and equipment safely and effectively, in line with training and authorisation.
• Work collaboratively as part of the quarry team, supporting colleagues and undertaking other reasonable duties to help achieve site objectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of site performance, safety and operational standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• The successful candidate must hold a current driving licence.
• A licence for heavy mobile plant is preferred but not essential.  Training can be provided for the suitable candidate.
• You will be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team and be available to work flexible working patterns. 
• You will also have a willingness to learn and be a good communicator.
