Out of Hours Quality Manager – Complex Mental Health & Learning Disability
Remote / Bristol – Office Based Option
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
Hours: 23:00–06:00 – Rota Basis (Flexible Days)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager or senior care professional to join a growing specialist healthcare provider supporting individuals with complex mental health and learning disability needs.
This is a unique out-of-hours quality and operational support role, providing oversight during the night and ensuring care teams have access to appropriate guidance and support when required.
The role will focus on supporting the quality of care delivered across services, including reviewing care plans, risk assessments, and records, while also overseeing the out-of-hours telephone line and responding to queries or emerging issues.
This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or senior care professional from a mental health hospital/unit looking to move into a quality-focused position.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide out-of-hours quality and operational support between 23:00 and 06:00
  • Support care teams with queries relating to complex mental health and learning disability services
  • Review and support the development of care plans and risk assessments
  • Audit care records and files to ensure appropriate standards are maintained
  • Identify areas of concern and escalate issues appropriately
  • Oversee the out-of-hours telephone line and respond to incoming queries
  • Provide guidance and reassurance to staff during out-of-hours periods
  • Monitor incidents, concerns, and safeguarding matters and escalate where required
  • Work collaboratively with operational and quality teams to maintain high standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the services
 
Requirements
  • Experience working within complex mental health and/or learning disability services
  • Previous experience in a senior care, quality, supervisory, or management position
  • Senior Support Workers from mental health hospitals or specialist units will be considered
  • Strong understanding of care plans, risk assessments, and quality standards
  • Experience auditing care records or supporting quality assurance is desirable
  • Confident dealing with challenging situations and out-of-hours queries
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Resilient and able to work autonomously
  • Comfortable working during out-of-hours periods
  • Ability to identify and appropriately escalate risks and safeguarding concerns
