Enterprise Mobility operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo car rental brands and has frequently been named one of the top places to work. 

 

The National/Alamo brand of Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a Lot Attendant located at our Linden location. 

 

The lot attendant will spend time moving vehicles between rental facilities and the inventory lot as well as registrations and plates. They will also fill a leadership role in delivering vehicles and in some instances, customers, employees or vendors safely and timely to the appropriate destination(s) while giving helpful, courteous and professional customer service.

 

The rate of pay is $17.50 / hour and is located at 1100 W. Blancke Street Linden, NJ 07036.

 

 

The schedule available is:

  • Monday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Tuesday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Wednesday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • During Busy Seasons possibly Saturdays

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

    • Inspects deletes for damage in accordance with company guidelines using the damage evaluator tool
    • Ensuring all vehicles are accurately tracked
    • Organizing teams so that assigned runs to be as efficient as possible and completed as assigned
    • Ensuring all vehicles are accurately tracked and signed for
    • Move vehicles to different areas of the lot or facility as needed and directed by management.
    • Responsible for vehicle inventory (requires ability to work outside in various elements for extended periods of time)
    • Lot Organization- in a safe and efficient manner
    • Maintain and organize key of security measure
    • May act as the point of contact for the driver team on a daily basis
    • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to include shuttling cars and gathering data from internal computer system

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

    • Limited to light physical effort is required including the handling of average-weight objects (up to 10 pounds).
    • Generally requires a great deal of standing for long periods of time, walking and bending.
    • Requires the ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
    • Requires some flexibility in working hours.

Qualifications

  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship from our company for an employment based work permit or other work authorization document now or in the future
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Must be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from this location
  • Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

New Jersey DMV Requirements:

First-time drivers and under 21 years old:

If you are a first-time driver and under age 21, you must complete the mandatory Graduated Driver License (GDL) program requirements.  New Jersey's GDL program introduces driving privileges gradually to first-time drivers and individuals under the age of 21.
