What you'll do...
Role summary:As the Principal, Technology Operations – Customer Growth Strategy, you will define and drive strategies to grow Walmart’s cross-border commerce programs by working backwards from customer needs. You will identify and address opportunities across program awareness, visibility, discovery, traffic, conversion, and engagement to accelerate customer adoption and growth. Partnering with ECM/GTM, Product, Analytics, Marketing, and international teams, you will develop strategies and plans to strengthen Walmart Exports in existing markets while building repeatable customer growth playbooks for future expansion. This role requires strong strategic thinking, customer obsession, analytical rigor, and the ability to drive complex initiatives across teams and markets.

The Walmart US eCommerce Cross-Border team leads the advancement and expansion of technology and operational capabilities supporting international commerce. This team specializes in program and financial management, stakeholder engagement, and aligning technology initiatives with strategic objectives. Collaborating across functions, members track progress, address risks, and improve operational efficiency. Emphasizing clear communication, problem-solving, and data-driven decisions, the team drives scalable technology operations that enhance customer experiences and business outcomes, contributing to Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and operational excellence.
What you'll do:
- Own the customer growth strategy across awareness, discovery, traffic, conversion, engagement, and retention.
- Partner with ECM/GTM, Product, Analytics, Marketing, and market teams to translate growth opportunities into executable plans.
- Use customer behavior, funnel performance, market insights, and experimentation to identify friction and prioritize investments.
- Develop strategies to strengthen awareness, adoption, and growth in existing markets.
- Build scalable customer growth to support new-country expansion.
- Identify opportunities across Walmart-owned and external customer touchpoints to improve program visibility and discovery.
- Establish goals and measurement frameworks to evaluate impact and continuously optimize growth initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience leading customer growth, eCommerce, marketplace, or international expansion initiatives.
- Proven ability to develop customer strategies and translate them into measurable, cross-functional execution plans.
- Deep understanding of customer behavior and digital funnels across awareness, acquisition, discovery, conversion, engagement, and retention.
- Experience using customer insights, experimentation, funnel metrics, and market data to identify opportunities and measure impact.
- Ability to balance near-term growth opportunities with longer-term strategies for international expansion.
- Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with experience influencing decisions across Product, Analytics, Marketing, and business teams.

Bellevue, Washington US-11663: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
