Packaging Operator

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the inspection and packaging of all products that will meet or exceed the customers’ expectations while maintaining safety standards, quality and order accuracy. This will require an individual who is highly detail oriented as well as has the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the visual inspection and packaging of all products to ensure they are fully prepped to ship to customers

• Perform quality checks as required and accurately document them 

• Keep leadership informed of defects and prevent material from being packaged when not up to standard

• Keep work area clean and free and organized

• Assist other employees when time allows

• Train on multiple types of equipment like electric pallet jacks and overhead cranes

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills 

• Become power equipment certified in a timely fashion

• Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures

• Basic computer and math skills

• Good organizational skills 

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years of warehouse experience is preferred.

Systems: Any experience with Oracle or warehouse inventory tracking software is a plus

Physical Requirements: 

• Lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100lbs

• Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 10 hours, with intermittent breaks

• Wear task based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria including Steel-toe boots, hearing protection, cut-proof gloves and/or safety glasses

• Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises 

• Bend over multiple times throughout shift 

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $20.83 - $22.66. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
