Job Description Summary

This role will serve as a strategic technology partner to Clinical Development and Patient Safety stakeholders, driving digital transformation, business value realization, operational excellence, and AI driven innovation across the Clinical Development and Pharmacovigilance landscape.

The role combines stakeholder engagement, technology leadership, solution architecture, application ownership, automation delivery, and operational support. The successful candidate will work closely with Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Science, Clinical Bioanalytics, Medical Writing, Regulatory, and Patient Safety organizations to design and implement scalable digital solutions supporting the end-to-end clinical development lifecycle.

The individual will be a key member of the Clinical Development and Patient Safety Stakeholder Success Team, responsible for maximizing value from core platforms including Veeva Clinical Development Cloud and Veeva Safety Suite, enabling intelligent automation, driving technology roadmaps, and ensuring reliable delivery of business critical clinical and pharmacovigilance applications.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Partner with Clinical Development and Patient Safety leaders to shape technology strategy and digital roadmaps.
  • Lead implementation and support of Clinical Development and Patient Safety platforms, including Veeva Clinical Development Cloud, Veeva Safety, SafetyDocs, Signal, Workbench, and related ecosystem applications.
  • Identify, design, and implement automation and AI use cases that enhance operational efficiency and business value.   
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for solution architecture, integrations, data flows, and cloud-based clinical solutions.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives while ensuring compliance, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.
  • Support Patient Safety capabilities across pharmacovigilance processes including adverse event intake, case management, literature screening, signal management, aggregate reporting, risk management plans, PSMF, PV agreements, and regulatory compliance workflows.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the growth of the Clinical Development Stakeholder Success operating model
  • Lead identification, prioritization, design, and implementation of automation opportunities across Clinical Development and Patient Safety.
  • Build and govern automation portfolios
  • Drive adoption of AI, GenAI, and intelligent workflow solutions.
  • Measure and communicate business value realized through automation initiatives.
  • Establish frameworks for responsible and compliant use of AI technologies in GxP environments

What you’ll bring to the role: 

Essential Requirements: 

  • 14 to 18+ years of experience, with at least 10+ years in Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences Industry.
  • Proven experience supporting Clinical Development and Patient Safety organizations globally.
  • Hands-on experience with Veeva Clinical Development Cloud implementation, enhancement, and support.
  • Strong knowledge of various products across clinical domain for ex. Veeva, LabVantage, cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), etc. will be an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance technology platforms such as Veeva Safety, SafetyDocs, Signal, Workbench, web intake, literature screening, adverse event processing, and safety reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated success delivering AI, GenAI, and Automation initiatives across clinical and pharmacovigilance processes.
  • Experience operating within a Stakeholder Success Team model, combining business partnership, consulting, delivery, and operations responsibilities.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to engage in solution architecture, integrations, data flows, automation frameworks, and cloud-based clinical solutions.
  • Experience leading global teams and managing strategic vendor relationships.
  • Excellent executive stakeholder management and business consulting capabilities.
