Position Overview
Texas Roadhouse is a high-performance company who is looking for the next legendary Brandeis School of Law Extern! Our externship program offers an incredible one-of-a-kind experience. We focus on personal development and growth as well as exposure to our leaders and experience within a full-service in-house legal department on real work projects. Our program provides the following opportunities:
• In-House Experience - By working in a full-service legal department setting, you can receive practical hands-on experience from a variety of legal areas including employment and/or commercial litigation, corporate and/or real estate, compliance, risk and/or insurance, and liquor licensing and/or compliance, and franchising.
• Exposure to Leadership and Networking – You will have the opportunity to meet a variety of leaders in the legal department and the Support Center throughout your externship, which will allow you to network and form future relationships.
• Find Mentors - Certain individuals can help guide you through your externship and expose you to opportunities to which you can aspire and grow in your chosen field.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Working and collaborating with Team Legal leaders on meaningful work in a variety of legal functional areas
• Researching topics related to field/department or sub-team within Team Legal
• Performing such various other projects as assigned by Team Legal leaders and/or externship coordinator(s)
• Commitment to an average of 8 hours per week for the semester.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law as a second year (“2L”) student or above.
Other:
• Must be available to work the duration of the program
• Must have compelling interest in one of the following areas of law: employment and/or commercial litigation, corporate and/or real estate, compliance, risk and/or insurance, and liquor licensing and/or compliance, and franchising.
Experience: 2L students or above, at the University of Louisville Brandies School of Law
Computer Skills: General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
