Truck Sales Representative

Kenworth Sales Company, a 38-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is expanding and looking for driven individuals to sell Trucks within an assigned territory. This role involves both maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new business.

JOB SUMMARY: The primary function of the Truck Sales Representative is to solicit and assist customers in the ordering and purchasing of trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prospect and maintain customer relationships.
• Stay informed on market trends and customer needs.
• Develop strategies to secure orders.
• Utilize specifications program.
• Coordinate with internal departments (parts, service, finance/insurance, marketing).
• Handle customer complaints and follow up on all leads.
• Report on competitive activity.
• Stay updated on product offerings.
• Maintain records and reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong product and industry knowledge (truck/heavy equipment sales preferred).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Presentation skills.
• Proficiency w/ Microsoft suite of programs.
• High energy and a positive attitude.
• CDL required or ability to obtain.
• Experience in direct sales or related industries is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Motivation to succeed 

• This position involves both sedentary and physically demanding work.
• Will work both indoors and out. For part of the shift, s/he will climb stairs, climb in and out of vehicles, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees and customers.
• Spend extensive periods of time at a desk, reviewing detailed computer printouts and inputting data on a computer.
• Will require travel in a vehicle to customer locations, which may require overnight stays and extensive driving.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
• Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
