Titan Virginia Ready Mix has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Clerk for its Southern Virginia Ready-Mix division, located in Norfolk, VA. This salaried non-exempt position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.  The primary function of this position is to support all warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management; coordinate maintenance needs and maintain systems for an accurate recorded history of fleet and plant repairs, parts, maintenance and labor; assist with shipping and receiving delivery products.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Enter information into and update the data bases for an accurate, recorded history of fleet and plant repairs, parts, maintenance and labor
  • Manage the receiving, proper storage, retrieval and timely issuance of equipment and parts
  • Assist with maintenance cost reporting
  • Determine part needed from outlined specifications, research, source, obtain quotes, and place orders
  • Receive goods into inventory and enter the source and price of parts into the system; Inspect received goods for condition, count, and take appropriate actions for any discrepancies; Verify parts received against purchase order, reconcile differences
  • Perform physical inventory and verify stock counts against computer records; assist in inventory audits to identify discrepancies in inventory records
  • Maintain proper housekeeping conditions of the warehouse facilities, ensure security of the building and inventory, as well as the safety of employees working or visiting the areas
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Answer phones and other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years job-related experience in warehouse management, logistics, maintenance, procurement, or inventory control preferred
  • Experience in Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) procurement, preferred
  • Ability to work with limited supervision to complete work assignments, under tight deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills, a continuous improvement mentality, ability to understand and satisfy the needs of the customer, a professional attitude, high levels of energy, and the ability to adapt quickly, be flexible and manage change effectively
  • Ability to travel within operating region to deliver parts and assist with maintenance activities
  • Physical job requirements include working with exposure to extreme heat and cold, constant standing and walking and lifting up to 50 lbs
