Account Manager / Senior Account Manager | Natural Colors | Southeast (Remote)

We have been retained by a global leader in natural color solutions for the food, beverage, and pet food industries. Our client harnesses the power of nature's true colors and is passionate about helping manufacturers create naturally vibrant products!

We're seeking an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager, depending on experience, to join their growing commercial team. This is a remote position supporting customers throughout the Southeast, with preference given to candidates based in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida.

In this role, you'll drive profitable sales growth by managing existing customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Technical, Marketing, Operations, and Product Management, to support customer innovation and deliver exceptional service.

Essential Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual sales objectives.
• Grow existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts while leveraging strong product and market knowledge.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer goals.
• Generate, qualify, and follow up on sales leads.
• Build and maintain multi-level relationships within key customer accounts.
• Provide customers with timely updates on products, pricing, market trends, and innovations.
• Prepare monthly sales forecasts and portfolio reviews.
• Partner with internal teams to support new product development from concept through commercialization.
• Provide accurate reports, market intelligence, and sales updates to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Account Manager: 4–6 years of ingredient or flavor sales experience serving food and beverage manufacturers.
• Senior Account Manager: 7–10 years of ingredient or flavor sales experience serving food and beverage manufacturers.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop and execute both short- and long-term account strategies.
• Technical aptitude to understand customer challenges and align product solutions with their needs.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Passion for the food and beverage industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Ability to travel up to 50–60%.
