Accounting and CFO Advisory Manager

Overview

Our Accounting and CFO Advisory Services department provides fractional accounting, controller and CFO advisory services to early and mid-stage companies until they are ready to build their own internal finance teams. 

 

This high-profile position interacts with our internal team, and interfaces directly with external clients. This position is for a strong technical accounting and financial professional who thrives in an ever-changing environment. 

Responsibilities

Client Operations:

• Oversee daily accounting workflows, month-end close and timely financial statement preparation for multiple clients, while providing excelling client service.

 Advisory Services:

• Provide strategic financial guidance and compliance support (including sales tax, property tax, state registrations). Work with external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit. 

Team Development and Leadership:

• Training and management of Associates and Senior Associates to ensure all financial reporting and compliance filing deadlines are met.

Software and AI:

• Proficiency in modern cloud accounting tools and applications; ability to structure controls and process using such tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Master's degree in Accountancy
• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of relevant experience with month-end close, financial reporting and accounting management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to project manage and support multiple clients at once
• Familiarity with AI tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter, who enjoys multi-tasking, learning, and working in a dynamic and supportive environment
• Exceptional MS office skills, experience with QuickBooks, Netsuite, Ramp, Brex, Carta, Rippling, Gusto, and similar tools.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 per year. Actual placement within this range is determined by the candidate’s experience, qualifications, education, and geographic area.
