The Performance Marketing Strategist at Idaho Youth Ranch plays an essential role in helping connect families and young people who are facing adversity, trauma, and loss with caring adults who will help them get the safety and support they need to heal.

How does Idaho Youth Ranch view their brand and communications? Idaho Youth Ranch is a diverse organization with unique marketing needs. From marketing 24 thrift stores, a car lot, and an ecommerce department to managing marketing campaigns for a statewide network of life-changing programs, our Performance Marketing Strategist must be able to see the big picture to help the public understand that when kids need help, we are here and anyone who cares about Idaho’s kids can help through donations, volunteerism, or shopping.
We are looking for someone who understands how to use the elements of branding to tell a cohesive story to anyone who interacts with our organization.

We use proven therapies and programs to help kids who have experienced loss or adversity transform childhood trauma into hope. We offer a statewide network of services to kids 9–24 years old and their families, including outpatient therapies, residential care, adoption services, and career readiness.

As the Performance Marketing Strategist, your work directly impacts our ability provide life-changing therapies to the youth we serve. You play a lead role in helping parents of Idaho’s most vulnerable youth learn Idaho Youth Ranch can provide the healing and hope they need. As a leader in our branding, website, and social media, you play a critical role in public understanding and support for Idaho Youth Ranch.
Your design skills and messaging skills play a key role in communication both within Idaho Youth Ranch and in in the broader community. Your work is often the public face of Idaho Youth Ranch and plays an important role in perceptions of Idaho Youth Ranch.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
- 2+ years of digital communications experience
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
- Strong, hands-on Google Ads experience is required, including campaign build and account structure, keyword and audience strategy, Performance Max, budget and bid management, conversion tracking, and performance reporting.
- Experience managing a Google Ad Grants (nonprofit) account is preferred, including Ad Grants policy compliance, account structure, and maintaining click-through rate and quality score requirements.
- Strong, hands-on Meta ads experience is required, including Meta Ads Manager, audience building and retargeting, creative testing, Pixel and Conversions API tracking, and budget optimization across Facebook and Instagram.
- Experience applying paid media to both talent acquisition (recruiting) and retail customer acquisition, with the ability to manage separate campaign strategies and budgets for each.
- Working knowledge of TikTok as a marketing channel, including short-form video content and TikTok paid advertising.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager to measure, attribute, and report campaign performance.
Our Performance Marketing Strategist will:
- Recommend, develop, and execute paid media campaigns to support staff recruiting, including hands-on management of Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, and display) and Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram to drive qualified applicant volume.
- Build, manage, and optimize recruiting ad campaigns end to end, including audience targeting, creative and copy testing, budget pacing, bid strategy, and conversion tracking, to reduce cost per qualified applicant and shorten time to fill.
- Grow and manage TikTok as a core social enterprise channel, producing short-form video content, leveraging trends and creator partnerships, and running TikTok paid placements to reach thrift shoppers and vehicle donors.
- Provides paid media execution support for client acquisition campaigns as assigned, reaching families and referral sources seeking Idaho Youth Ranch services.
- Supports growth by developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans to drive customer acquisition, retention, and sales growth for thrift stores
- Produces and publishes social media content for recruiting and social enterprise business areas, working within the organization-wide social media strategy, calendar, and channel governance maintained elsewhere in the department.
