The Technology Specialist I position requires experience with a range of technologies, but specifically iPads in education is desired. This position will be the first point of contact for all support requests, escalating tickets based on workload and difficulty, and assist with the inventory, maintenance, and deployment of technology throughout the campuses. The Technology Specialist I reports to the Director of Technology and provides various levels of support, as assigned.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support to faculty, staff, students, and parents
- Assisting with the deployment, operation, and maintenance of technology on all campuses
- Maintaining inventory and storage areas
- Adheres to and honors Valley Christians' standards, policies, procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Performs other related assigned duties
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is a consistent testimony among others

- Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs are in agreement with our school's Mission & beliefs
- Must have and maintain a valid level one IVP fingerprint card
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Must be proficient with Microsoft 365 suite of applications
- Must be proficient in Apple iPads and iPadOS
- Must be proficient with desktops and laptops running Microsoft Windows
- Basic knowledge of wired and wireless networking
- Must be self-motivated
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a customer-service mindset
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years supporting technology
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Classroom support or teaching experience
- Knowledge of system imaging and deployment
- Knowledge of JAMF
- Experience with Zendesk or FreshDesk
Physical Requirements:
- Use a computer (visual and keyboarding) for long periods of time
- Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) 50% of the time
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- At times requires stooping, bending, turning, pushing, pulling, reaching and climbing stairs (2-story)
- Use of hands, fingers, arms to reach, grip and maneuver objects
- Must be able to respond quickly to sounds (fire/security alarms)
- Work in noisy and crowded school environment
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings when needed
- Frequent walking throughout the campus
