Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs) following OEM procedures, including refrigeration systems, electrical systems, climate control systems, APUs, heaters, A/C units, and trailer refrigeration components. • Maintain and repair trailers, including electrical wiring, lighting, landing gear, interior panels, roofs, flooring, doors, thresholds, and tire seals. • Service and repair tractor-trailer braking systems (hydraulic, air, ABS/EBS), including inspections, adjustments, and component replacement. • Perform tire services, including installation, removal, flat repairs, balancing, and advanced axle alignments using electronic alignment equipment. • Receive fuel deliveries, conduct fuel sampling, monitor fuel levels, ensure safety compliance, and complete required documentation. • Process warranty repairs and claims, including accurate documentation, tagging, parts retention, and claim submission. • Diagnose equipment issues, identify repair solutions, order parts, and perform maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, shop equipment, service vehicles, air compressors, and other fleet equipment. • Complete work orders, maintenance records, logs, and documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and DOT regulations. • Collaborate with and support fellow technicians to maintain equipment reliability and operational excellence. Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay: $34.15–$37.65/hour, plus applicable premiums ranging from $0.35–$3.00/hour based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. The hourly wage range for this position is $37.10 - $40.60* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

3 years’ experience in trailer refrigeration maintenance and repair (e.g. diagnostic and component replacement)
EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification
Valid state-issued driver's license.
Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.
