What will you do?    

As a CloudOps & FinOps Engineer at Cat Digital's Slovakian branch, you will help operate, optimize, and govern Caterpillar's cloud environments while enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and cost-efficient digital products. 

You will: 

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and shared services across AWS and Azure. 

• Drive cloud cost visibility, governance, and optimization through FinOps best practices. 

• Monitor cloud usage, performance, reliability, and security. 

• Develop and maintain automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD solutions. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in cloud environments. 

• Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to improve operational excellence and cloud efficiency. 

 

This position works directly with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT teams in the US.  

 

What you have:   

• Experience operating cloud environments in AWS and/or Azure. 

• Understanding of CloudOps, FinOps, cloud governance, and security best practices. 

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar). 

• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. 

• Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, and incident management. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. 

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Experience working within an Agile environment. 

 

Top Candidates will also have:  

• Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps tools. 

• Experience supporting multi-account AWS or multi-subscription Azure environments. 

• Familiarity with cloud security and governance platforms. 

• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools. 

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 

• Knowledge of API platforms such as Apigee, AWS API Gateway, or Azure API Management. 

• AWS certification.

€32,976.00
