Workday Financials Consultant

The Workday Financials Consultant is a functional consultant responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering Workday Financial Management solutions as part of large-scale transformation and implementation programmes. Working closely with clients and project teams, this individual helps organisations modernise and optimise their finance operations through the deployment of Workday Financials, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and Workday leading practices.

The Consultant combines strong functional expertise with a collaborative delivery approach, supporting requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities. They work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver successful Workday Financials implementations and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Workday practice.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in Workday Financials implementation projects, supporting clients throughout the project lifecycle from discovery through deployment.
• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and design sessions to define Workday Financial Management solutions aligned to business needs.
• Configure and deliver Workday Financial Management solutions across one or more core process areas including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Contracts-to-Cash (C2C).
• Support clients in transforming finance processes by applying Workday leading practices and industry standards.
• Prepare functional design documentation and collaborate with Integrations, Reporting, Security, Data Conversion, Change Management, and Project Management teams.
• Support solution testing activities including system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
• Assist with deployment, cutover, hypercare, and transition-to-support activities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Support pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, estimations, proposal responses, and customer presentations.
• Contribute to practice development through knowledge sharing, internal training, asset development, and methodology improvements.
• Maintain expertise in Workday Financials functionality, industry trends, and product enhancements.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Active Workday Financials Certification preferred.
• 2+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience.
• Experience participating in end-to-end Workday Financials implementation projects.
• Functional expertise in one or more Workday Financial Management pillars:
  • Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Contracts-to-Cash (C2C)
• Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, solution configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Understanding of core finance and accounting processes and controls.
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams including Reporting, Security, Integrations, Data, and Change Management.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Eligible for SC Clearance - you must have been a UK resident for the last five years and be legally entitled to work in the UK.
• Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site as needed
