SUMMARY:

As a welder you will perform MIG welding as well as manage machines that manufacture and repair metal structures.  To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery equipment. The successful candidate will also have a steady hand and outstanding attention to detail. The cannidate must have a welding certification.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform MIG welding, loading, and unloading weld fixtures.
• Move parts from station to station.
• Robot fixture tending.
• Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets through process design, optimization projects and Kaizen initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong work ethic, on-time attendance performance, with a high degree of reliability is required to be successful in this role.
• Good mechanical aptitude and skills required.

• Must interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors.

• Enough physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. repeatedly); standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, working overhead and operating motorized equipment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

 

Education / Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) required

• Must have welding certification to be hire.
• 2 years manufacturing welding experience, preferred.
• Prior ability and experience to read blue prints, required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

100% of your time is on the manufacturing facility floor.  This position requires employee to frequently work in a fluid, fast paced environment. No travel is required in this role.
