Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor; Occupational Therapy

The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy in the Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions. This position will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Essential job duties include teaching various occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant courses, including didactic and lab and/or fieldwork, and course development. Additional responsibilities include advising program students; maintaining office hours; serving on committees as necessary to maintain and improve the instructional program(s); participating in appropriate professional development activities; participating in scholarly activities and departmental/individual research; participating in service to the University and the community; and instructing and assisting in the growth and success of a varied population of students through careful preparation of course materials, effective teaching methods, and informed critical feedback on assignments and discussions. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in occupational therapy or a related field that is accredited by a USDE-recognized institution is required; doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field that is accredited by a USDE-recognized institution is preferred; two years of teaching experience in an accredited occupational therapy program at the postsecondary level is preferred; two years of clinical experience in the field of occupational therapy is required; current occupational therapist credential by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required; and currently certified and licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Alabama in occupational therapy is required.  To apply for this position, please visit our Online Employment System at link.  Applications will only be accepted through this system.  Please be prepared to upload a cover letter and resume/CV at the time of application, as well as provide contact information including email addresses for at least three professional/academic references.   Transcripts are also required.
