As a partner resources business partner, senior, you are a strategic human resources business partner and advocate. You support the effective delivery of Partner Resources (HR) products and services across aligned corporate functions. You will build trusted relationships with leaders and partners, translate business priorities into people strategies, and help create an inclusive environment where partners and the business can thrive.

Our corporate functions enable the enterprise by providing the strategy, capabilities, expertise, and operational support needed to deliver on Starbucks priorities. In this role, you will partner across functions and with Partner Resources specialist teams to strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, talent outcomes, and the partner experience.

As a partner resources business partner, senior, you will:

Collaborate - Partner with your Partner Resources leader, corporate function leaders, specialist teams, and cross-functional partners to understand business priorities, anticipate organizational needs, and develop practical people strategies and programs.

Serve as an advocate - Listen to partner and leader needs, help resolve concerns, and connect partners with information and resources related to benefits, compensation, development, and other Partner Resources programs and services.

Support - Implement Partner Resources strategies, plans, and projects within aligned corporate functions. Translate enterprise priorities into clear actions, routines, and solutions that meet the needs of the business and its partners.

Influence - Provide consultation and coaching to leaders on organizational effectiveness, talent, performance, partner relations, workforce planning, change, and applicable company policies and employment laws. Build credibility and influence outcomes at multiple levels of the organization.

Analyze - Use business and people data to identify insights, assess trends, prepare recommendations, and measure progress. Develop clear reports and presentations that support informed decision-making.

Lead through change - Navigate ambiguity and support leaders and partners through transformation. Bring a practical, thoughtful, and inclusive approach to change planning, communication, and implementation.

We'd love to hear from people with:

6+ years of HR generalist/business partner experience

Three or more years of experience consulting with internal clients to identify business needs and recommend solutions

Experience supporting corporate functions or complex, matrixed organizations

Ability to build trusted relationships and connect quickly with leaders and partners at multiple levels

Experience influencing positive outcomes through sound judgment, consultation, and practical problem-solving

Experience navigating ambiguity and leading through change in a fast-moving environment

Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and make confident decisions with incomplete information

Experience using people and business data to develop insights and recommendations

A strong commitment to inclusion and to understanding different perspectives, experiences, and cultural nuances

A strong desire to grow within the Partner Resources organization at Starbucks

This role is based in Seattle, Washington.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
