CNC Machinist

Who are we?

Frencken Mechatronics is involved in the development and assembly of industrial systems or the semiconductor industry, the healthcare market, and a wide range of analytical applications. The high-quality precision mechanical parts, machine assemblies, and vacuum systems are assembled in both clean room and non-clean room environments. As a service provider, Frencken Mechatronics also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Operate CNC or conventional machines such as milling, turning, or drilling equipment.

·       Load raw materials, set basic machine parameters, and perform required tool changes.

·       Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measurement tools.

·       Interpret engineering drawings and follow process sheets and work instructions.

·       Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities, tool wear, or dimensional deviations.

·       Maintain accurate production records including quantities produced, scrap, and machine downtime.

·       Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, housekeeping, and compliance with machine guarding requirements.

·       Conduct routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on machines.

·       Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and technicians to resolve production issues.

·       Support 5S, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing activities.

Qualifications:

·       Secondary school education, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or relevant technical certificate.

·       1–3 years of experience operating machinery in a precision manufacturing environment preferred.

·       Basic understanding of CNC milling or turning operations.

·       Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T fundamentals.

·       Proficiency in using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

·       Good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to handle small and large components.

·       Strong commitment to safety and product quality.

Additional Information:

Work Environment: Temperature- and humidity-controlled environment.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle precision components safely and accurately.
