Overview
ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB’s Hauppauge, NY office is seeking a Transportation Intern to work on engineering programs and learn technical skills and computational software.
Responsibilities
- Effectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
- Perform engineering calculations
- Perform site visits/field data collection
- Assist with preliminary and final design plans
- Assist with contract documents, including specifications
- Completion of engineer’s estimates
- Prepare construction documents
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to independently manager multiple tasks
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering
The hourly pay range for this position, located in New York, is $19 to $30. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted hourly range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.
