This is a broad financial accounting role for someone who wants more than a routine close cycle. You will help deliver accurate, timely and compliant reporting across the Australia and New Zealand businesses, while strengthening controls, partnering with stakeholders and improving the way finance processes operate.

You will work across statutory reporting, US GAAP close activities, balance sheet governance, inventory, working capital and selected regulatory reporting. Just as importantly, you will have scope to simplify, standardise and automate processes while maintaining a strong control environment.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate audit deliverables, supporting schedules and responses to external auditor queries.
  • Complete assigned month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities, including journals, accruals, provisions, reclassifications and supporting analyses.
  • Review results for completeness and accuracy, investigate unusual movements and provide clear variance commentary.
  • Prepare high-quality balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and support timely remediation of control issues.
  • Review inventory movements, valuation adjustments, provisions, cost-of-goods-sold entries and stocktake adjustments.
  • Monitor receivables, ageing, collections and working capital drivers.
  • Complete customer eligibility assessments, reconciliations and claims for government subsidy reporting.
  • Provide practical accounting and control advice, and partner with business, shared-services, Tax, Supply Chain and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver process improvement initiatives that make finance activities simpler, more consistent and more efficient.

What You Must have

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with a CA, CPA or equivalent qualification completed or in progress.
  • Relevant financial accounting experience in a complex or multinational organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of financial reporting, close processes, balance sheet controls and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system, together with strong Excel capability.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to turn financial detail into practical conclusions.
  • A disciplined approach to documentation, controls and data integrity, balanced with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • undefined

What You Can Expect

  • Work autonomously whilst being supported, encouraged and being part of a trusted global leading animal health organisation.
  • Exposure to upskill and develop in your role.
  • Flexibility and opening doors to other opportunities and skillsets.
  • Joining a collaborative team of like-minded individuals.
  • A role with visible impact across finance operations, reporting and business partnering.
  • The opportunity to help modernise finance processes through simplification, standardisation and automation
