Utilities Operator at JLL perform daily field work, monitoring, and maintain machinery and /or infrastructure that supply potable water, power systems, steam, chilled water, and compressed air.
 

Core Responsibilities

Field Operations: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and work orders to repair machinery such as pumps, compressed air, boilers, and chillers.  

System Monitoring: Watch gauges, control panels, computer screens, and meters to track flow rates, pressure levels, and equipment performance.

System Maintenance: Monitor the safety and efficiency of utility networks like water distribution or sewage collection.  

Testing & Chemistry: Extract samples or execute data collection (such as water chemistry checks or corrosion control) to ensure safety and compliance.

Compliance & Safety: Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety rules (such as EPA, OSHA, FDA, CFR, GxP standards).

Administrative Support: Fill logbooks and forms. 

Qualifications & Skills

Education: High school diploma required; an associate or technical degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in pharma works, facility maintenance, or utility operations and knowledge on eCMMs.

Certifications: Valid driver’s license and relevant entry-level state water/wastewater or trade certifications.

Basic computer literacy, leadership potential, and problem-solving skills for handling equipment failures.

Language: Intermediate English communication skills.
