Job Description : Sr Maintenance Mechanic

What this job involves - JLL is looking for a person with a passion for delivering a high level of customer service in a Warehouse/Distribution Center/Office Building. This person must have strong communication skills and a solid background in building maintenance.

What is the day to day?

· Able to identify and resolve general maintenance issues.

· Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.

· Work with the team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment

· General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems.

· Minor plumbing repairs

· Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.

· Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.

· Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

· Respond effectively to all emergencies 24/7.

· Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

Required:

· 2+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair & maintenance, basic plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills are preferred.

· Basic computer skills and experience with CMMS are needed.

· Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28 ft., possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.

· Must be a problem solver and be able to come up with creative solutions for general building needs.

Shift:

· Monday - Friday; 7 AM to 3:30 PM

· Overtime or working off-hours as needed.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
