Description
Carries out assigned activities in support of the accounts payable function. The accounts payable function implements, maintains and enhances accounts payable systems to ensure that funds owed are paid in a timely manner and allocated accurately across projects, functions and departments. Produces regular and special analyses and reports. Collects and verifies incoming invoices. May assist with monthly reconciliation activities. Enters data into accounts payable system and initiates payments. Supports the production of regular and special reports and analyses. SCOPE: Coordinates activities / processes that support assigned unit / team / projects. KNOWLEDGE / PROBLEM SOLVING: Is proficient in and has in-depth knowledge of the full scope of the position. Effectively coordinates the resolution of problems and roadblocks as they occur. NEGOTIATIONS / INTERACTIONS: Interacts with internal and external team members, peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities. ASSIGNMENT OF WORK: Receives work in the form of assignments or processes. Receives general instructions on new assignments. Determines methods for completing semi-complex assignments. OVERSIGHT RECEIVED: Work is subject to regular supervisory review at major intervals.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE: Typically has 4 or more years progressively responsible coordination experience.
