Job Description: Application Engineer I
POSITION SUMMARY
Demonstrate high technical competence in understanding selection philosophy and basis of torque calculations. Will be responsible for assisting field sales with the required technical support in carrying out selection and defining technical scope matrix for projects.
Collaborate with the internal customer support, engineering, production and application functions, and help execute project orders. Liaising with the external application support teams and regional sales body to optimize the product offering. Focus segment – Mining, Marine & Defense.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing project RFQs / Enquiries for braking systems in Industrial sectors, such as Mining, Marine & Defense.
- To assist Field Sales & Customer Care with non-standard requirements and recommend a Feature / Product / Solution
- To work out solutions based upon customer specifications.
- To Chalk out deviation/ compliance documents.
- To assist in creation of technical documents such Proposal drawings, GA drawings, Calculation sheets etc.
- To hold technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- To support design detailing activities in execution stage.
- To ensure Field sales has a readily assessable technical data bank to assist in preliminary selection and technical literature
- To pay site visits for application assessment and problem resolutions.
- To work on development activities as per Product Management roadmap.
QUALIFICATIONS
BE /B. Tech Electrical or
B.E. / B. Tech Mechanical
EXPERIENCE
4 to 6 Years of relevant experience in application support or design & development in power transmission product industry. Exposure to Crane/ Mining / Marine segment will be an added advantage.
Travel: Whenever required.
Language: English and Hindi.
