Senior Accountant

We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to own key parts of our monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
You'll work directly with our Controller as a hands-on member of a small accounting team. This role carries real ownership from day one, along with the chance to mentor others and help improve how our team works.

What You'll Do

• Own key pieces of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset activity, and help keep the close on schedule
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, research variances, and resolve reconciling items
• Prepare monthly distributions and calculate and process commission payouts, making sure figures tie back to the general ledger
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, and serve as a resource for the accounting clerk and AR team member
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for the Controller and leadership team
• Support monthly bank compliance reporting and covenant calculations
• Assist with the annual budget, periodic reforecasts, and variance analysis
• Support year-end work with our outside CPA firm, including tax and audit requests
• Maintain accurate records in our Macola ERP system and Synergy, and help improve processes, controls, and reporting
• Train and support newer team members on accounting procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 to 5 years of general ledger accounting experience, including month-end close and account reconciliations
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
• Experience with an ERP system (Macola, Synergy, or similar) preferred
• CPA or progress toward a CPA a plus
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment a plus

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
