Employment Type: Full Time
Hours: 8-hour shifts
Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with nursing staff, case managers, and physicians to assign beds for incoming patients based on medical needs, availability, and urgency
- Monitor bed occupancy and status in real-time using hospital information systems
- act as a liaison between various hospital departments to facilitate smooth patient transfers and optimize bed usage
- Update patient data in the hospital’s electronic medical record (EMR) system to reflect admissions, discharges, and transfers accurately
- Run reports and analyze bed utilization trends to support hospital operations
Qualifications
- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer Services experience required.
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).
