WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the newly built Franciscan ExpressCare in St. John, Indiana. This provider will also support our ExpressCare locations in Crown Point and Munster, IN offering a dynamic practice environment across multiple sites.
WHAT WE NEED:
The ideal candidate will have experience in Urgent Care or Family Medicine. Candidate will have ACLS/BLS certifications and will be able to see all patient types.
Ideal candidate should be proficient in:
· Reading basic x-rays of all body parts
· Laceration repair/wound care
· Initial ECG interpretation
· Interpreting test results
· Urgent evaluation and treatment of potentially critically ill patients and the appropriate transport of these patients to the closest Emergency Room Department
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
· Clinic Hours: Sunday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
· No weekends
· Float between St. John, Munster and Crown Point locations
· Average outpatient volume: 3 – 4 patients per hour, depending on season
· On-site Equipment:
o EKG
o POCT
o Hospital Radiation Department
o CT Department
· Common Diagnoses:
o Abdominal pain
o Flu
o Musculoskeletal pain/injury
o Shortness of breath
o Upper repository infection
o Urinary tract infection

Qualifications:
· Master's Degree - Required
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
