We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
• Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center, Sterling, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with the recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising of Lifeguard staff.
• Maintain records of aquatics staff certifications and assist with new employee orientation for aquatics staff. · Performs daily custodial and maintenance duties to ensure a safe, clean aquatic facility
• Reconfigure pool for activities and events and assist with special events.
• Observes and enforces pool rules and regulations.
• Assists with clerical duties, including utilizing scheduling software, maintaining required aquatic facility records, and providing excellent customer service.
• Monitors the use of aquatic facilities and equipment to ensure visitor and participant safety within the facility and compliance with applicable safety policies and practices.
• Rescues distressed persons, using rescue techniques and equipment; contacts emergency medical personnel in case of serious injury; provides emergency care and treatment as required.
• May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.
*The work schedule is subject to change based on operational hours and will encompass weekdays, evenings, and weekends. *
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or Leisure Services or a related field.
• Prefer 2-year supervisory experience. · Lifeguarding Instructor, AED and Supplemental Oxygen preferred.
• Water Safety Instructor
• Certified PTHA CPO/AFO/Certified Pool Operator
Loudoun County approved Pool Operator Certification.
