Description
[What the role is]
The Senior Manager will be part of the newly established Leadership & Organisation Development Unit (LODU), serving as an internal practitioner and adviser in leadership development, people dynamics, culture, and change management. Working closely with leaders and domain owners across CAAS, the role plays an important part in strengthening leadership effectiveness, shaping organisational culture, and supporting leaders and teams through change. This is an opportunity to be part of a lean, purpose-driven team with real impact across CAAS and its people.[What you will be working on]
On leadership development, you will support the design and delivery of leadership development programmes and interventions across the leadership pipeline — from top management through to middle managers and first-time managers — helping to build a strong and consistent leadership culture across CAAS.
On people dynamics, you will develop and strengthen the quality of supervisor-staff relationships and team dynamics, equipping leaders and teams with the skills, tools, and practices to work and relate well together.
On culture, you will serve as a culture agitator and ambassador — working end-to-end from conceptualisation and design, through to communications and implementation to build a culture anchored in CAAS' refreshed mission, vision, and values, and one that is central to CAAS' transformation and growth.
On change management, you will support senior leaders and domain owners in planning, communicating, and leading change, and contribute to building change capability and sound change management practices across CAAS.
You will also contribute to developing frameworks, structures, and processes in each of these areas, helping to institutionalise good practices so that they endure beyond any single initiative or phase.
[What we are looking for]
We are looking for someone who is energised by people and driven by purpose — someone who hold themselves to high standards and drives towards learning and making a genuine difference to how people lead, relate, and work together. The role calls for someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, willing to take on varied responsibilities, and appreciates that in a lean team, success requires everyone to contribute wherever is needed to move things forward. You should be comfortable working both at the level of design and strategy and rolling up your sleeves to prepare administratively and deliver — someone who can engage credibly with senior leaders while also connecting meaningfully with staff at all levels.
If you are energised by this kind of environment and bring both initiative and collegiality to your work, this is an opportunity to be part of building something meaningful from the ground up.
We are looking for a seasoned practitioner with expertise in leadership development, organisation development, or change management, and with experience in working at senior levels and influencing organisational culture.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Training in Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development, or a related discipline. Relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications (such as in as leadership development, change management, or organisation development) would be an advantage.
- At least 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in leadership development, organisation development, change management, or related fields, with some exposure to working with or supporting senior stakeholders.
- Experience in designing and delivering programmes or interventions, with the ability to translate concepts into practical, engaging, and effective solutions.
- Facilitation, front-of-room delivery, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse stakeholders and at different levels of the organisation.
Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
