Job Description:
The Analyst of Data Activation and Strategy plays a key role in activating and analyzing Fortune’s first-party data to optimize digital advertising campaigns and drive revenue growth. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Tech, and Account Management to develop and execute audience targeting strategies. The Analyst delivers audience insights for both pre-sale planning and post-campaign reporting, translating data into actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as a subject matter expert on audience targeting, data strategy, and activation for internal teams and advertising clients
Build, activate, and optimize audience segments using first-party data, third-party intent signals, and audience/data platforms (e.g., CDPs, DSPs, intent data providers)
Leverage and contribute to Fortune’s first-party data strategy to improve targeting, activation, and measurement
Incorporate B2B intent data and ABM methodologies to identify in-market audiences and develop targeted account strategies
Analyze campaign and audience data to deliver actionable insights and performance narratives for pre-sale and post-sale initiatives
Develop client-facing materials and reporting that translate data into clear insights
Utilize AI and automation tools to streamline audience analysis, accelerate reporting, and improve the quality and scalability of deliverables
Evaluate data partners, tools, and new opportunities to enhance targeting capabilities and data quality
Partner cross-functionally to execute campaigns and deliver high-quality work on tight timelines
Stay current on ad tech, data, and privacy trends to inform best practices
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
4-year degree required; Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field preferred. Additional experience in digital marketing, media, or data analytics may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:
1-3 years of analytics, research, data science, or marketing/media experience. Familiarity with project management and/or digital advertising processes is a plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong data analysis and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, client-friendly insights
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort working with data platforms and digital tools
Salary: Up to $75,000 base, plus eligibility for a variable 10% annual bonus. This range is a good-faith estimate and may ultimately vary based on a number of relevant factors.
