General Information:
Job title: Occupational Therapist - Acute Care/Skilled Nursing
Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday - Friday
Weekend rotation: No weekends
Holiday rotation: Paid holidays
Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist position treats injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities and help these patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.
Position Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients in the acute care and nursing home settings. Also screen patients and attend meetings regarding patient progress.
- Documentation of evaluation, progress notes, daily notes, insurance, and discharge notes in patient's medical records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective carryover of services for patient care.
- Outpatient evaluation and treatments.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Master of Occupational Therapy required. Doctorate preferred.
- National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy and Wisconsin occupational therapy license and continuing education to maintain licensure.
- Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
- ACLS/BLS certification required.
- 1+ years of related work experience required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
