Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, the In-Store Pick-Up Outfitter will greet and assist customers in placing orders, check item availability, answer questions about new and previous orders, and solve any minor issues. During the order and pick-up process, process customer funds accurately and appropriately, while explaining additional company services and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legendary customer experience for every customer and promote company programs
  • Place orders on behalf of the customer in store, to get an item that may not be available in the store at the time
  • Receive In-Store Pick-Up orders that arrive in store from the Distribution Centre
  • Call customers to inform them that their orders have arrived
  • Handle questions about how the In-Store Pick-Up process works to ensure the customer is well informed
  • Process gift card sales through the point-of-sale system to create In-Store Pick-Up orders
  • Use current Point-of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to accurately and appropriately complete customer transactions following all policies including those requiring checking for identification and age requirements; knowledge of how to process debit, credit cards, etc
  • Respond and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
  • Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Qualifications:

  • One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
  • Ability to use good judgment and logic
  • A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required; training will be provided if necessary
  • Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
  • Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset
