Meet the Team

As a member of the Network Features team you will join the Security Features Development department under the Endpoint Solutions and Security Technologies Sub-division. The team is responsible for the development of network protection features e.g. firewall, protocol scanning and other associated applications. Based in Bratislava, the team closely collaborates with other development teams and product management to develop security and protection features and solutions directly embedded into ESET product portfolio protecting over 1 billion devices worldwide.

About the Role

As a Network Security Developer you will grow your skills in the endpoint network protection domain and contribute to the overall success of our products.

Your responsibilities will cover:

• Participation in the development of assigned components and applications.

• Development of internal tools for collected network data analysis.

• Participation in code reviews as a member of an agile team.

• Participation and ownership of analytical tasks correlated to your application development.

• Cooperation with multiple development teams and stakeholders across the company.

Essential Requirements

• Ideally 3+ years of experience with C++ in a developer role.

• Experience with multithreading, memory management, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Practical understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS etc.).

• Keen general interest in networking, security and cloud (protocols, technologies, development etc.).

• Working knowledge and experience with modern AI assisted development.

• Intermediate English (B1) or higher.

• Analytical thinking, conceptual and systematic approach.

• Willingness to learn new things, open mind.

Desirable (nice to have) Requirements

• Knowledge of deep packet inspection or protocol detection.

• Experience with Windows drivers or kernel-mode development.

• Basic knowledge about Kubernetes, Docker, containerization technologies in general.

• Basic Python knowledge for scripting, testing, tooling, or automation.

• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira / Confluence) and Git.

Basic wage component (brutto): from 2700€/m. (brutto) 

* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate. 
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
