The Role
As an Associate Engineer – Roads & Highways, you will provide technical leadership and project delivery expertise across complex transport infrastructure projects. You will play an important role in mentoring engineers, managing project outcomes and building strong client relationships throughout North Queensland and beyond.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of road and highway design projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight across multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage project scope, programme, quality and commercial outcomes.
- Develop and maintain trusted client relationships.
- Review designs, calculations and technical deliverables.
- Support project pursuits, proposals and business development activities.
- Mentor, coach and develop engineers and graduates.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth of the Roads & Highways business.
About You
You are a technically strong engineer with proven project delivery experience and a passion for developing people and client relationships. You are comfortable leading projects and providing guidance to less experienced team members.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 10-12 years’ experience delivering roads and highways projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing project delivery and technical outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder and client relationship skills.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineers.
- Sound commercial and project management awareness.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
- RPEQ or Chartered status, or a commitment to obtaining registration.
