L1 Monitoring Operator (8×5) (m/w/d) – Winterthur Area

We are seeking an L1 Monitoring Operator (8×5) to provide first-line monitoring and operational support within a Network Operations Centre (NOC) environment. The role focuses on infrastructure monitoring, event correlation, alert management, incident triage, basic troubleshooting, and timely escalation to ensure reliable service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor infrastructure services and operational platforms during business hours (8×5).
• Correlate events and alerts, perform first-level incident triage, and conduct basic troubleshooting.
• Create, update, route, and manage tickets in accordance with established operational procedures.
• Escalate incidents and service-impacting events with clear and accurate handover information.
• Execute routine monitoring, housekeeping, and operational tasks to maintain service stability.
• Support incident coordination and communication with internal and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Follow standard operating procedures, operational governance, and service management processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in IT Operations, NOC, Service Desk, Infrastructure Support, or a similar operational environment.
• Broad technical understanding of network, server, storage, and infrastructure technologies.
• Strong process discipline, attention to detail, and situational awareness.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, operational support environment.

Preferred Certifications:

• ITIL® 4 Foundation
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification
• Monitoring/observability platform foundation training
• Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure vendor certifications are advantageous

Language Requirement:

• German language proficiency at minimum B2 level is mandatory.
• Ability to participate in technical discussions, incident coordination, service reviews, change-related communication, and day-to-day operational interactions with German-speaking stakeholders and customer teams.

Citizenship Requirement:

• Applicants must hold Swiss citizenship.

• Candidates should be based in, or regularly available within, the Winterthur region to support local operational alignment, customer engagement, coordination with onsite and remote-hands teams, and participation in service, governance, and escalation meetings as required.
