Ngā kōrero mō tēnei tūranga / About the role

As part of our Internal Firm Services team in Ōtautahi / Christchurch, you’ll help create a seamless, professional and welcoming experience across our office. This is a varied role where you’ll work across client reception, meeting rooms, events, front of house support and workplace coordination, helping ensure our people, clients and visitors experience a high-quality and well-run environment every day.

Your day-to-day could include:

  • Welcoming clients, visitors, contractors and staff with a high standard of customer service

  • Acting as the first point of contact for office enquiries, calls and day-to-day workplace support

  • Supporting meeting room bookings, room set-up and reset, and ensuring spaces are presented to an exceptional standard

  • Coordinating catering requirements, front of house support and barista service for meetings and events

  • Liaising with IT and Facilities to help resolve room, AV or maintenance issues

  • Assisting with event and function set-up, pack-down and general coordination

  • Supporting mail, courier, stationery and other day-to-day workplace needs

  • Assisting with access processes, workplace set-up changes and general facilities coordination as required

  • Maintaining checklists, process documents and administrative tasks accurately and professionally

  • Helping identify opportunities to improve service delivery and workplace experience

  • Maintaining First Aider and Fire Warden status and supporting workplace safety, emergency procedures and evacuation activities as required

  • Professional education or training in hospitality, customer service, business administration, facilities, events, or a related field would be beneficial but is not essential

  • Additional training in food safety, barista skills, first aid, health and safety, or other workplace-related areas would also be advantageous

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, hospitality, or similar customer-facing role, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment

  • A positive attitude and genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including a professional and personable phone manner

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistently high-quality work

  • The agility to manage changing priorities and work effectively with multiple stakeholders

  • Sound judgement, initiative, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across a range of service areas

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with confidence in learning new systems and processes

  • Adaptability and openness to change and new ways of working

  • A proactive approach to personal development, continuous improvement, and learning on the job

  • Strong alignment with PwC values, particularly reimagining the possible and making a difference
