JOB SUMMARY: The Texas Rangers are looking for a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment necessary for the operation of Globe Life Field. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to HVAC service needs in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Start up, inspect, and verify the proper operation of all HVAC equipment at the beginning of each shift.
Operate and monitor the central control room.
Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on controls and related equipment; adjust and calibrate equipment when necessary.
Replace and maintain filters throughout the facility.
Respond to complaints regarding HVAC equipment and adjust or repair where necessary.
Perform all repairs on pumps, compressors, and centrifugal equipment.
Perform tests on water systems tied in with HVAC.
Perform minor electrical and pipefitting repairs to HVAC systems.
All other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 or 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2 years experience in HVAC repair and/or service work.
1-2 years experience in maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers, air cooled chillers, large AHU’s, VAV boxes, fan coils, Split systems, pollution control units, Crack data room equipment and/or similar equipment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans.
Efficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer software skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
Ability to multi-task at a high level of detail across multiple projects.
Ability to work in noisy and hot environments and to work with water.
Able to work well within a team environment and independently

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is on-call 24/7 and will require work to be performed on weekends, event nights and holidays as needed.
Outdoors and office environment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move with large bulk items.
Requires long periods of time on feet.
Ability to walk, sit, climb, crawl, kneel, squat, bend, and extend arms and legs fully.
Ability to use hands to manipulate and effectively use tools and controls.
Exposure to chemicals on a regular basis.
Required to work in situations requiring heights and/or tight working conditions from extension step ladders and lifts.
