Job Summary:
To plan, direct and carry out responsibilities and duties related to Weld, CNC, and Assembly departments related to equipment sales with the goal of meeting customer delivery dates, while maintaining the highest level of safety and quality.
Requirements
· Attend project meetings to collect and disseminate information pertaining to projects.
· Schedule, coordinate and monitor project activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-ups with INVENTORY, CNC, WELD, ASSEMBLY and PURCHASING to ensure timely completion/delivery on Manufactured and Purchased items on All projects in production.
· Monitor shop floor personnel ensuring everyone is working safely, is staying on task and is always using the appropriate PPE.
· Monitor projects hourly activity to achieve an “in target” result on ALL jobs/projects
· Monitor shop organization and cleanliness routinely, to ensure a safe working environment.
· Train, evaluate staff and resolve personnel grievances with write ups and documentation.
· Handle any and all safety accidents by MP Equipment’s reporting and documentation process for accidents and near misses.
· Maintain a tight focus on Sales order Projects and POC related hours, due dates and deliveries.
· Analyze production, on floor quality, maintenance, and other operational reports to detect production problems.
· Review and monitor project progress to assure quality and adherence to requirements of project documents.
· Evaluate project performance during and post completion and take steps to improve productivity, lower costs and improve quality.
· Perform simple facilities maintenance as needed or directed by Plant manager or Operations Manager.
· Ensure department Leads are reviewing timecard audits for accuracy and completing time corrections forms when needed.
· Push the “Continuous Improvement” culture in all areas of production.
· Review operations and confer with engineering or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
· All other tasks that may be requested by management.
· Performs other related duties/projects as assigned.
