Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinical Secretary, you will provide essential non-clinical support and comfort to patients and staff, assisting other members of the healthcare team with providing basic patient care under the direction of a Staff Nurse.Every day you will support daily unit operations by assisting with patient comfort needs, transporting patients, performing light cleaning, stocking supplies, and relaying messages to nurses to ensure an organized environment.To be successful in this role, you will exhibit a helpful, compassionate demeanor, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining unit efficiency and team support within a dynamic healthcare setting.
- Maintains established policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Understands and participates in FOCUS-PDCA. (performance improvement)
- Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and department.
- Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the front office area.
- Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma/GED
The ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions is required to perform all tasks
- Medical terminology, Filing, Phone skills, and must be self-motivated
Preferred
- Hospital or Physician office experience
