The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate I to work in the Streets Division of the Public Works Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment. The Public Works Department provides services that are vital to our community’s health, safety and comfort.
Hours of Operation:
June 1 – October 15:00 am – 3:30 pm
October 2 – May 316:00 am – 4:30 pm
4 days a week with mandatory rotating on call

Expected Hiring Range: $18.76/hour – $22.98/hour
- Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range:$18.76/hour – $27.21/hour
- Performs routine semi-skill maintenance and/or landscaping tasks: inspects, cleans, and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems; uses a variety of hand and power tools.
- Provides service to internal and external customers.
- Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Six (6) months in a closely related field.
- Valid Arizona Driver License.
- Must complete a pre-employment physical, including an audiogram, and pass a 50-pound lift test.
- Must complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six (6) months of street construction/maintenance experience or closely related field.
