The Clinical Quality & Workforce Operations Specialist provides temporary clinical expertise and transition support to ensure continuity of clinical operations, nursing practice standards, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance activities. This role serves as a subject matter expert and strategic resource during leadership transitions, partnering closely with the Senior Manager, Clinical Quality & Nursing Practice and other stakeholders to transfer institutional knowledge, support clinical quality processes, and maintain consistent clinical standards across the organization.
The consultant will support clinical assessments, incident management, Joint Commission readiness activities, competency processes, and ongoing quality initiatives while helping establish sustainable practices that enable long-term success within the clinical quality function.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Transition & Knowledge Transfer
Support the onboarding, training, and transition of the Senior Manager, Clinical Quality & Nursing Practice.
Transfer institutional knowledge related to clinical operations, nursing practice standards, quality initiatives, historical practices, systems, and organizational processes.
Share expertise regarding Favorite's clinical policies, procedures, workflows, escalation protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and consultation to ensure continuity of clinical quality and nursing practice functions during the transition period.
Clinical Assessment & Workforce Quality
Conduct and support clinical interviews for nursing and allied health professionals.
Participate in clinician assessments and competency evaluations.
Provide clinical consultation to recruiting, workforce operations, and leadership teams regarding candidate qualifications and clinical competency.
Support ongoing clinician qualification, competency, and performance review processes.
Clinical Quality, Incident Management & Escalations
Assist with clinical escalations, incident reviews, complaints, investigations, and follow-up activities.
Provide clinical expertise and recommendations related to patient safety, nursing practice, and clinician performance concerns.
Support documentation, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and quality improvement efforts as appropriate.
Promote consistent and compliant handling of clinical concerns and workforce-related quality matters.
Compliance, Accreditation & Documentation
Assist with Joint Commission readiness activities, documentation reviews, and accreditation-related processes.
Support maintenance of clinical records, quality documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Participate in audits, quality reviews, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
Help ensure adherence to applicable nursing regulations, organizational standards, and accreditation requirements.
Process Improvement & Standardization
Assist in developing and strengthening standardized clinical interview processes.
Support the creation of consistent escalation, investigation, and documentation practices.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, quality outcomes, and compliance processes.
Contribute to the development of tools, resources, and reference materials that support sustainable clinical operations.
Cross-Functional Support
Assist Human Resources and other departments with projects aligned to clinical expertise and business needs.
Partner with recruiting, operations, compliance, and leadership teams to support organizational objectives.
Complete other reasonably related clinical quality, workforce operations, compliance, or HR assignments as requested.
