As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Alarm Monitoring in NEWARK, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting commercial real estate and logistics distribution locations. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property areas, distribution facilities, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify credentials or delivery authorization as directed, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures.
- Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
