About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Financial Accounting & Corporate & Regulatory Reporting to join our Finance team at RHB Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting financial and regulatory reporting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of financial governance. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external auditors while providing advisory support on regulatory reporting matters and driving process improvements across reporting functions.
What you will be doing
Support financial and regulatory reporting activities, including the preparation and submission of regulatory returns and reports.
Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax computations for RHB Singapore Branch and its subsidiaries.
Liaise with external auditors on year-end statutory reporting and audit matters.
Manage and coordinate responses to queries from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other regulatory authorities.
Provide regulatory advisory support to business units and act as a subject matter expert on regulatory reporting matters.
Review and enhance processes and controls to mitigate operational risks and improve reporting efficiency.
Maintain and periodically review policy documents to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, business needs, and market developments.
Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new products, system enhancements, and regulatory change initiatives to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
What we're looking for
Degree in Accountancy or a recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA Singapore, ACCA).
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a reputable audit firm or within the finance function of a bank.
Knowledge of MAS regulations, the Banking Act, Singapore tax requirements, and regulatory reporting requirements will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of accounting policies, internal controls, and data governance principles.
Strong analytical, financial reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Detail-oriented with the ability to drive process improvements and manage change initiatives.
Proficient in a computerized work environment and able to contribute towards enhancing accounting systems and reporting processes.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural, and diverse environment.
