Senior Furniture Consultant (Business Manager)

Location: London/South of UK

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Furniture Consultant (Business Manager) to join our Tetris Furniture Solutions team, covering the South of UK region. Reporting directly to the Furniture Solutions UK Director, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional furniture design solutions while supporting leadership. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated projects with high-profile clients, combining strategic business development with hands-on project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Design Solutions

  • Provide expert consultation to customers, investors, and purchasing advisors on innovative furniture design solutions that align with their business objectives and spatial requirements.
  • Leverage your design expertise to create compelling, functional workplace environments.

Business Development & Sales

  • Drive sales growth through proactive networking, relationship building, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive sales proposals, look book presentations, and detailed financial analyses to support client decision-making and project approvals.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Lead global project coordination from concept through installation, collaborating closely with logistics teams, project assistants, and cross-functional departments across the JLL/Tetris group.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with external contractors including electrical, AV, IT, and planting specialists, as well as internal fit-out teams.

Team Support & Leadership

  • Support the management and development of a five-person team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and operational excellence.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through attentive follow-up, proactive communication, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Create customer loyalty by consistently exceeding expectations.

Installation Oversight

  • Monitor furniture installations as required to ensure quality standards, design integrity, and client satisfaction throughout the delivery process.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in the furniture industry.
  • Proven track record in professional furniture distribution and specification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in design with comprehensive understanding of 360° space planning and workplace layouts.

Professional Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen with focus on business development and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player with proven ability to work across departments and with external partners.
  • Dynamic, flexible approach with ability to adapt to changing client needs and project requirements.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong command of English language, both written and verbal.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK region regularly.
