Your Role:  Sales Assistant Manager

As a sales assistant manager, you will provide high-quality product knowledge and territory management to achieve company sales targets. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing Elanco’s therapeutic solutions through strategic selling, technical expertise, and building strong customer relationships.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute 90-day Action Plans and routing plans to achieve sales goals and manage product inventory and receivables.
• Apply scientific and product knowledge to deliver technical messages that meet specific customer needs while addressing competitive threats and objections.
• Build and maintain strategic business relationships with customers, gatekeepers, and regional distributors to ensure high-quality service and advocacy.
• Analyze territory metrics and market information to identify business growth opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Act as a liaison between Elanco, regional distributors, and customers to ensure prompt resolution of questions, concerns, or complaints.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of sales experience with a proven track record.
• Strong skills in strategic account management and territory analysis.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience within the animal health industry.
• Knowledge of local regulatory guidelines and Good Promotional Practices (GPP).
• Proven ability to leverage customer insights and personality profiling to adjust selling techniques.

Travel: 80%
