As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help deter incidents through attentive observation. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or property in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and shipping-related documentation as assigned.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, facility access points, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
