Description
Responsibility to function as a Maintenance Supervisor: Ensure that the employee handbook is being followed; follow all IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Instructions. Ensures adherence to PPE policy and 5s principles. Motivate and mentor team, to support their ongoing development, striving to achieve targets set, and encourages processes to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMNETS OF THE JOB
Safety
- First responder for first aide or emergency situations
- Notify, document, and report all incidents/accidents
- Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others in daily activities
- Ensures the use of safe procedures and standard work
- Inspect and document equipment and verify everything is operational and in good working order
- Understand and enforce lockout tag out procedures on all machines
Daily Routine
- Attend transition meeting with all Maintenance employees.
- Advises Manager of tooling needs for production
- Evaluate equipment that is needed for all Maintenance employees.
- Report at daily Gemba and other plant meetings
- Audit Maintenance processes
- Audit 5S best practices of technical areas
- Review setup checklist and work orders for any delays, issues, concerns & continual improvement opportunities
- Data entry and KPI management
- Relays priorities as needed to Maintenance employees and schedule jobs.
- Oversees new and used equipment moves or upgrade projects
- Oversees maintenance coordinator to ensure work orders are managed in a timely manner
- Continuous improvement of current processes
- Work close with outside departments to better processes
- Lead cost savings projects
- Continuous training of Maintenance staff
- Follow company rules, policies, and procedure.
- Works with maintenance system CMM.
- Works with Guide TI
- Provide Guide TI work order forms to the team.
- Collaborates with the TI Guide to perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
- Provide input about machine issues with Technical Manager
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of workcenter area
- Analyze and resolves work problems or assist support staff when needed
- Must strive for continuous improvement of production process and ways to control problems that cause downtime or rejects
- Audits current and improves safety processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive preventative Maintenance.
- Coordinate down time repairs with scheduler.
- Delegates tasks to maintenance employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate, or general eduation degree (GED)
- Blow Molding experience
- Changeover experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manual
- Preferred mechanical abilities
- General computer knowledge
- Operating knowledge of motor vehicle
- General knowledge of hand tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Team player/good attitude
- Continuous improvement mindset
- KPI management
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have knowledge of Windows
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day
- Must be able to work on concrete floors
- Position requires sitting, standings, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
